Yanyu is a Core Disciple of the Spiritual Sword Immortal Sect and a friend of Chen Fan that he met so that he can trade for techniques in her sect with the Immortal-Grade Treasure, the Legendary Black Lotus. She is also presumably the friend of Tang Qing.
