Tribulation, also known as the Calamity or Kalpa is a process when a cultivator crosses and transcends their current realm so that they can go further for their cultivation.
Overview[]
Tribulation is a trial in the Cultivation World, a trial that is encountered by cultivators at key points in their cultivation, which they must resist and ultimately transcend. Because Immortal Cultivation goes against the Will of Heaven, the Heavens will send down tribulations to oppress high-level cultivators who make progress towards Immortality, often right when they enter a new cultivation stage.
This typically takes the form of a lightning storm, with extraordinarily powerful bolts of lightning raining down from the Heavens to strike at the cultivator. But when it is an Above-High Grade Golden Core Tribulation, The form of the Tribulation can vary such as when trying to achieve an Immortal-Grade Golden Core.
Types Of Tribulations[]
- Heavenly Tribulation: A normal tribulation that is faced by Cultivators and other beings to cross to the next realm of their Cultivation.
- Divine Tribulation: A tribulation faced by a Cultivator or Other Being that has reached the realm of Transcends Tribulation. There is approximately 36 Strike with each strike has a trial of it's own related to the Karma of oneself, like how the 36th Strike is the Tribulation of Inner Demons. Once passing all of it, they are allowed to Ascend to a higher-plane such as the Immortal Realm.
- Golden Core Tribulation: A special Tribulation to those who wants to achieve Golden Core. The tribulation is needed so that the one who triggers it can form their Golden Core, and it depends on their talent for them to achieve certain grades of Golden Core. - Pill Tribulation: A special Tribulation to those who is refining a High-Level Pills, the more that the Pill can absorb the Thunder, the higher the grade and potency of the Pill is. If failed to absorb, both the Pill and it's Pill Refiner will be struck by the Thunder and the Pill turns to ashes.
- True Dragon Thunder Tribulation: A special tribulation that is only faced by Cultivators who possessed the True Dragon Divine Vein, and during the time they would achieve the Golden Core level, they will be assured to achieve a Divine-Grade Golden Core due to the special tribulation.
