Chen Huaian is the head of the Chen Family, the father of Chen Kexing and the grandfather of Chen Fan. He is also the founder and current vice head of the Chen Dojo, as well as one of the three princes of Great Jin Dynasty.
Personality[]
Very loyal to family. When Chen An suggested cutting ties with Chen Fan's family when Chen Fan was believed to have died in Warg Valley, he was extremely enraged and disappointed.
Since he retired from work, he mainly practiced Tai Chi and calligraphy, making him subconsciously disregard the mortal world and give him the correct mindset for Immortal Cultivation.
Past Life[]
In Chen Fan's Past Life, not that much is known about him but it was stated by Chen Fan that he passed away due to late-stage cancer at the age of 70.
History[]
During the Chen family's New Year banquet, he sees Chen Fan and recognizes how he changed. He takes a walk with Chen Fan, offers him advice, and says he regards him as the person with the most talent in the younger generation and has high expectations for him.
He sees Chen Fan practices the True Martial Thirty-Six Forms, but refuses to learn, saying he prefers his Tai Chi.
When the tycoons and magnates come to visit Chen Fan during the banquet, including Wei Fu and Li Wuchen, Chen Huaian is stunned and proud at the same time. He later agrees instantly to make Wang Xiaoyun the CEO of Chen's Group, replacing his son Chen Qianxing.
After Chen Fan cultivates the Azure Thearch Longevity Body, he uses Yi Wood Spirit Qi to heal his cancer. Chen Fan then gives him a daily supply of Yun Wu spirit water so he can drink some for himself and let his friends mooch for some.
Starts cultivating, and Chen Fan regards him as the most talented in the Chen family.
Chen Fan uses the Thunder Fruit promote Chen Huaian straight to the Xiantian level (Earth level Deity/Earth Immortal) and gains the Thunder King Spirit Body, a top-grade thunder element spirit body. Since the world doesn't know that he was promoted, Chen Huaian becomes the North Qiong Sect's trump card.
When Chen Fan is gone, he fought with the Christian Church multiple times. He and Ye Qingcang were regarded as the two guardians of China when Chen Fan was absent.
When Chen Fan returned to Earth from Planet Tianhuang, Chen Huaian was taken away by Immortal Cang Qing alongside both Chen Kexing and Wang Xiaoyun to the Great Jin Dynasty. There he established a branch of North Qiong Sect as a base for the Chen Family called the Chen Dojo. He then have 2 more grandchild that is Chen Yue and Chen Hao, and also have many disciples and personal disciples.
When Chen Fan arrived at the Great Jin Dynasty, he then was surprised at his arrival and then introducing him to the dojo and transfers his title as the head of the dojo to Chen Fan and instead becoming the Vice Head. After Chen Fan captured a thunder spirit at the 3rd level of the Linyang Atmosphere, he picked up Chen Huaian to the same place and helped him break through the Nascent Soul level. After promoting, he fought against Lin Zhong.
When the Chu Family sent assassins to the Chen Dojo, he was taken by the Black Demon Army's 25th Squad Captain and his disciple, Ma Wanjun. And after Chen Fan killed the Immortal Monarch of the Great Jin Dynasty, he was appointed as one of the Three Princes of the dynasty.
When the Seven Imperishable Sects invaded, he was one of the few people protecting it alongside with North Qiong Sect's reinforcement from Earth. He watched Chen Fan fought against them and the Golden Bird Emperor, as well as catching Chen Fan when he falls consciousness.
After Chen Fan returned to the Great Jin Dynasty after fleeing, he was seen talking to Zhong Zhengyang and a girl from the Five Elements Immortal Sect while enjoying tea with him.
Relationships[]
He has favored his son Chen Kexing because he was the most talented among his brothers, and wants him to come back to Jinling. Even though Chen Kexing is stuck in his career, he doesn't scold him like he does to the rest of sons that more successful.
Very proud of his grandson Chen Fan, and supports him in all of his decisions. He likes to play chess and give advice to him.
