Chen Hao is the little blood brother of Chen Fan, conceived after his parents were taken away by Immortal Cang Qing. Because of this he has no knowledge of Chen Fan.

When Chen Fan arrives in the Great Jin Dynasty he learns of his extended family, that being Chen Hao and his younger sister Chen Yue. By this time, he has already condensed a Divine Grade Golden Core and is known throughout the Great Jin Dynasty as an unparalleled genius, attracting the attention of Tiannan Upper Academy, the Chu Family, and Purple Sky Holy Land.
He sneaks off to participate in the Golden Core Life and Death Tournament without the orders of his master and grandfather, Chen Huaian. There he encounters Chen Fan for the first time (though does not know who he is) and is the sole survivor of his team after they fight, being spared due to having a connection with the Chen Dojo and Chen Fan's grandfather. Upon returning to the Chen Dojo he is berated by his grandfather and also passes by Chen Fan, who he suspiciously notes is very similar to the man he fought in the Life and Death tournament.
He is later said to have joined the Purple Sky Holy Land, serving under Yang Xuan. He also became a fighter for the Second Heir of the Red Blood Immortal Sect so that he can have a raise in status. He fought against Chen Fan in the Blood Taking Meeting and he was defeated by him. This caused him to lose his opportunity to have a raise in status, and was taken by the Second Heir to talk with his master.
When he returned to the Great Jin Dynasty and at some point met Yu Wenjing, they both had their ways and started an affair, due to her not capable of getting Chen Fan is what caused her to do this. He then plotted to become the ruler and a traitor of the Great Jin Dynasty with the support of Yu Wenjing, his sister Chen Yue, and the remaining descendants of the Seven Imperishable Sects. Even though his parents didn't accept this, he put them under house arrest and was threatened.
When the time he was about to ascend to the throne, someone objects and destroys his crown, in which he sent the Black Devil Army to find them and appeared a demon. The courtier tried to fight her but someone protects her, which was revealed to be Chen Fan. The descendant of the Apollo Palace tried to challenge him but failed, Chen Hao also tried to but Chen Fan proved his power to affect the star, which causes Chen Hao to suspect him to be in the Void Returning realm. This causes the crowd to bow to Chen Fan, and causes Chen Hao to feel hopeless. Chen Hao then was taken all of his powers, and also alongside his sister Chen Yue, which causes them to be incapacitated.
